Four weeks in and with exceptional levels of business, The Lord Binning in Kelsall, Cheshire had an unexpected visit from culinary royalty yesterday; Marco Pierre White popped in for a bite! Apparently Marco just happened to be in the area and having heard about The Lord Binning thought he would pop in and see his old mate David Mooney, owner of the Kelsall Eaterie.

David in his younger days worked for the erratic, but brilliant Marco at Harvey's Restaurant in Wandsworth and has remained good friends ever since.

Marco, accompanied by Francis Carroll, his Brand & Development Manager, joined David, sampling Binning's Prawn Cocktail and Rare Breed Pork Sticky Ribs with Tarvin Honey, along with a portion of 'Right Proper' Black Pudding with curry infused puy lentils, which were winners all round! Marco was particularly impressed with Binning's Daily Special of Partridge in a Pear & Thyme Gravy - praise indeed!

Marco polished off a couple of well kept Timothy Taylor Landlords and kindly left a motivational note to the team saying that he had 'the best dinner and 'your boss is the best man with respect & admiration' A note destined for a frame on the restaurant wall.

The Lord Binning has his launch party on Thursday 6th October and Marco is at the top of the VIP list.
